I don’t even know why I the made the exception this time, but none the less – it was cool.

There was an open bar at the back of the store serving up scotch, wine, and beer for the attendees… And if you know me then you know that I immediately hit up any type of open bar. Completely necessary – no questions asked, no shame.

Front of the store was occupied by Paul from The Belmont Barber Shop, treating the fellas to complimentary haircuts. People were a bit shy to approach him at first but strangely enough once I hopped in the chair, everyone else started to warm up to the idea.

I ran into a bunch of familiar faces and all-in-all it turned out to be a decent little gathering. Even got some free gift cards and miscellaneous shhwag out of it (FTW).

But despite that, fall is the epitome of ill fashion. And my attitude is more suited to rockin’ some black 511 Levi’s anyways so I cant say I’m completely mad about it being the end of summer. Usually this is the time of year where I re-evaluate my wardrobe and start building my clothing donation piles, which is something I do annually in order to give myself an excuse to buy cool, new shit.

Whatever, at least I’m being honest.

The downside about fall though, is the fact that I can’t rock a t-shirt outside during the morning/night without freezing my ass off. It’s when you start to actually notice the days becoming shorter, ultimately being the give-and-take. But all things aside, fall isn’t really THAT bad if you think about it – I think it just had a bad rep because of that fact that its the precursor to dreadful winter. Winter can fuck right off though, real talk.

Anyways, I’m not going to ramble on much longer. I can’t think of any awesome, witty stories to tell you. Instead I’ll just leave you with my quarterly playlist – a taste of the music I generally have in my iPod rotation while sitting on the morning train… or music that I clean my apartment to on a Sunday afternoon.

The home was designed most especially for passive uses of solar energy. SAUSAGE WAFFLE SANDWICH (Miura Waffle Milk Bar)
Kazmo: Definitely the most delicious and distinct waffle I’ve ever had.

LOVE BIRD FRIED RICE (Penny Chinese Resteraunt)
DLN: Restaurant looks really run down, but the the food in here is delicious and cheap. Don’t know the main recipe in this dish. Just know there is shrimp, pork peas and awesome sauce TWO TIME~!

PULLED PORK (Jethro’s Fine Grub)
DLN: Pork just melts in your mouth. The coleslaw in the sandwich is not over powering at all. Perfectly balanced taste. Makes you feel dirty and clean at the same time.
Kazmo: It was so good! Definitely a different taste than your average pulled pork sandwich. Very tangy yet BBQ-y at the same time.

GYOZA (Santouka Ramen)
DLN: Crisp on the outside but perfectly chewy inside. Plus you can make your our custom sauce with chilli oil, vinegar, soya sauce.

FISH & CHIPS (Pajo’s)
DLN: Never get a large, the small portion is big enough to stuff you with this greasy goodness. Once it hits your tongue the taste starts consume you. Huge fry portions.

NANAIMO ROLL (Nanaimo Sushi)
DLN: Best roll in the city. Sweet and spicy tuna topped with deep fried of whatever-the-fuck it is. Delicious.
Kazmo: Spicy, crispy and yummy! Very hard to describe because of it’s epicness.

CHICKEN MASALA (East Is East)
DLN: The sauce just soaks into every grain of rice, you will savor every bite till the end.

SHORT RIB RICE (Gyudon Ya)
DLN: Delicious and they cut the bone out for you. Drench your rice with hot sauce and garlic mayo to make a fatty delicious meal.

HAMPION BEEF SHANK NOODLES (Chef Hung Beef Noodle)
DLN: Noodles are perfectly Chewy and soft. Beef is perfectly cooked and will make your stomach smile.

APA COLLO (Nicli Antica)
DLN: Best pizza in town, pork shoulder just fits perfectly with the basil, do not get the spicy tomato sauce (it contains ghost chilli)
